Leaky Blower Part 3

Well as most of you know Ive been having problems with my V1 blower leaking out the intake housing and out the bottom of the blower ever after the unit was rebuilt twice.
I got the kit in feb 04 and sent it out for a rebuild so I wouldnt have to worry about it down the road...put it in in July and it leaked 700 miles later. Vortech said send it back and we'll rebuild it again. sent it back, my cost for shipping and labor, 3 weeks later got it back in the car (11/16/04)...400 miles later and the blower is leaking the same amount. Out the bottom of the case, out the inlet hole, down the cold air piping I have. (150 mile trip to Atlantic City and Oil all over the bottom of the blower and on the impellor and housing)
Well I called up Vortech and all Jaime in the service dept had to say was send it back in. He didnt want to help me one bit because it was used unit....well after talkin to 7 different people at Vortech, I finally found someone that sent my email to the general manager at Vortech.
I recieved a call on Thur night that stating that they are sending me a V2 Unit, Freshly Rebuilt, Manufacture date of 8/04, out to me on Fri afternoon and it will be here on Tue.. Im VERY happy
Many of the people at Vortech didnt want to help. I kept gettin tossed around and their customer service isnt the greatest out there..probably just a step up from Stillen. I spoke with people at race relations and even sales...a sales person sent my emial to the general manager and I got a call that day.

I just wanted to share this with people and tell everyone that Vortech is a good company if you find the right person to talk to.

I will have a V1 plate, V2 blower and NO leaks...Finally ..I have to wait for the cold weather to disapear but if we do have a warm day, ill be takin advantage of it.

good to hear that your problems yielded some solution. You get a extra couple of psi with the v2 as well.
