look what I did...

to keep the engine compartment cooler.


Here is a close-up of the reverse hood scoop.

One thread isn't enough?

It should provide decent venting of hot underhood air. May even help defog the windshield in cold weather.

Looks good . In Texas it gets realy hot I did almost the same thing to let heat out of the engine

That looks really good LatinMax! Where does the water go or drain onto? Would that run down the back of the motor...

Water would run down the front of the firewall.

It was about 2 days with trying to figute it out without loosing strength and doing it with no BONDO....all metal.

yeah... Fire wall back of motor... So not on ypipe or I guess that really dosn't matter at all. That is nice, I want one. What did you use and damn. I don't see how you did it. Sometimes it takes me awhile on this kinda stuff..
oh, so there is no side to it , just cut and bend down some is what it looks llike to me. any more pics?

Did you paint it afterward? I can't tell from the pics. I'd imagine the cooler bay would be due to drawing in air rather than expelling it. On almost all cars the area right in front of the windsheild is a low pressure area. That is why cowl hoods work.

I was thinking about doing the BOMEX treatment to my CF hood. Cut some slots and glue some metal mesh from underneath.
