Turbo Kit

Hey fellas, I recently purchased a 4th Gen and looking to purchase a turbo kit. (yeah... I know not again and not another one....) just love the sound of the blow off valve.... for those you understand me.... plus that HP gain is BEE U TIFUl........ any ideas on a efficient turbo kit... I did some research sometime back and seen that HLH sold a kit at one time.... can anyone point me in the right direction... I also heard that the PFI kit is good as well... just looking for some insight.. Thanks.

PFI seems to be the kit most people get. http://www.pfispeed.com Many just get a custom kit put together however since there is very little selection among them.

Greddy does not make a turbo kit, and HLH no longer makes turbo kits.

This will be moved to the SC/turbo forum shortly....

PFI!!!!!

PFI 9.7 PSI=350HP and 338lbs of torque, enough to beat and keep up with 420HP Mustangs!

Welcome back Jaime!!!!

Thanks!

Yes you will need an 8AN metal return line with fittings that you are going to have to get. I highly recommend you drill your upper oil pan. You will need to drill your upper oil pan so a drill bit and tap will also be needed.

I"d like to see that.... how can a car that weighs nearly the same or more than a stang with 70hp less win with equal drivers.

I'd like to see where you heard that a 4th gen weighs anywhere close to what an SN95 or 99+ GT does? 4th gen is 200-300lbs lighter depending on trim and options. Heck even an 87 LX Notchback is the same weight as a 4th gen, but none are lighter.

Knowing Jaime, he probably has it on video anyways.

try this link and the title is..."Turbo Maxima vs Cobra Supercharged"
8th video and this is the direct link to it. I like to video tape stuff when I do it. You know the funny thing is the guy went and dynoed his car the very next day thinking it was broken but it was not. He dynoed 420HP.

direct link to the video
http://www.vqpower.com/v2/downloads-file-136.html

after alot of local Mustang owners saw this they were pretty pist off. I dont blame them I would be too. But remember, I hit full boost sooner then the stang does. I have a ballbearing turbo which spools up completely around 35K-38K.

On the 2nd run he pulls away from me and I cant catch him because I broke traction. It pretty much tells you right there that his car puts down 420HP.
