installing turbo timer
installing turbo timer
Question seems dumb, but here goes. I have a 99se-l and have the cold start feature. the car will not start if there is not a key in or near the key hole.(with cold start that is) I was wondering if it will be the same thing with the turbo timer. will I have to have an extra key for it to work? I dont know if anyone has or had this problem.
But you have to have a key in the ignition to start the car with or without a turbo timer. I still don't understand the question. Are you asking if the car will stay running even after you take your key with the chip in it out of the ignition? I would bet it would. It's probably just a starter inhibitor, not something that has to be continually present for the engine to run, but I don't know for sure. Talking to jdmmax is a good idea like someone else suggested he has an SE-L and a turbo and likely a turbo timer.
I also have a question about the turbo timer..When i take the key out of the ignition and locked all the doors and let the turbo timer shut down the car, the problem is that it doesnt activate the alarm(Tested already)...How can I hook the turbo timer off so when I leave me car running with the doors locked, it'll activate the alarm????

I think the short answer is we don't know, but it should work.
