oil pan spacer
Has anyone tried the jwt oil pan spacer that adds a quart of oil. Will it even fit the vq35 maxima pan. I know there isn't any luck for the vq30, but one can wish.
sorry to dig up an old thread, but i am curious about the same thing and it looks like no one really answered the question...
will the oil span spacer for the 350z/g35 fit the 3.5L max? my car has a serious oil burning problem so i am interested in this spacer so i dont have to check/refill my oil so damn much

Doesn't Nissan have an engine replacment policy concerning engines that are consuming too much oil? If you can get a new engine, that would be much better than increasing oil capacity.
I'm using a Z's 3.5L oil pan (upper and lower) on my VQ30 (swapping into a 240sx) so the pan will bolt up just fine and I assume then that the spacer would bolt up fine but I haven't tried it. The added depth may affect your crossmember clearance though, not sure.
The Z's lower pan is nearly identical to the VQ30's. Drain plug location was different if I remember correctly.

Yeah this post should not have been revived! The spacer will bolt up no prob but if ur max is lowered you will not make it in to a Wendy's parking lot with out ripping out the lower steel pan. Plus it lowers the pan so much what there isn't much clearance between the y pipe and lower pan, making the oil temps much higher. Its possible but not probable.
In your case it would only add oil below your pick up making the mod useless unless you extend the pickup tube dramaticly.
