Does this mounting plate look normal? Pictures

Looks like a piece of metal was welded onto the mounting plate and corner is broken off. Does your mounting plate look like that?

Its been repaired. Looks like the arm had broken off.
Below is what it looks like undamaged:


IIRC the plate rests flush against the side of the engine block. Anyways, that arm supports the idler pulley and also secures the mounting plate from flexing. As long as that works then you're fine.

Do you guys think I could get away using it safely or better off buying a new bracket?

Have you test-mounted it yet? I would remount everything and then use one of those laser levelers to check the alignment.

A new Bracket is NOT cheap...arent they about $1K from Stillen ??

No I haven't. I bought the kit from a 4th gen and I was going to have it installed on my 5th gen. I want everything to be ok before I get the V2 installed

i got mine for $275 when i cracked mine. i did have to go through a friend that was sponsored by stillen though.

im an idiot. i put the stock top bolt of the tensioner assembly into the setup and then installed the bracket. the torque that was put on the bracket was too much, so it cracked.
