V1 Plate, on 00'-01' Engine
I was thinking alittle bit today and was wondering since I have an 01' tranny and If I ever consider doing my engine, will my S/C plate, witch is a V1 plate, bolt up to a 00'-01' engine ?? I would considering using the manifold from the DEK, but changing out the lower manifold so I can still use my 370's....but I may still use my MEVI, but those decision are way far away.
Will I need anything else If I ever plan on purchasing an 00' engine and using it in my car ? Will all the engine sensors match up alright ?
Any input would be appreciated, thanks

If you buy the DEK engine then there is no point of not using the Manifold. It is the biggest difference and main advantage. Stephen Max has adapted the DEK upper manifold to work on the 4th gen LIM so you can use your side feed 370cc injectors. He would be able to do it or tell you want you need to do.
The Timing chain cover is the same, so the SC bracket will bolt up TMK.
I am not sure about the sensors. I think most of them will swap over or are compatible.

Yea, the decision to use the 01' Manifold would come when the time comes...I would most likely take the Lower Intake Manifold off my 96' and use it like StephanMax did so I can get away with my 370's...
I would just like to know if everything will match up, like the rear and front exhaust manifolds, Coil packs, the EGR system (that will prob come with the 01' engine)....and will all that work with my 96 JWT ECU...

EGR only is only on the 00 fed specs so you would have to make sure it was a fed spec when you bought it if you really wanted EGR. Personally I think EGR is more trouble than its worth and would never have it if I swapped in an engine.
Exhaust manifold are the same. Coil packs are slightly different in the rear to clear the IM. You can either use the 5th gen coils or grind down the rear bolt hole thing on the 4th gen ones. Stephen Max has cut in to part of the IM on h2kfrosty's car but I think that is even more trouble/work than just trimming the coil packs and only having one bolt hold it down.
I know you can get the engine to work with the 4th gen JWT. I don't know off hand what needs to be swapped, but I know people have done it.
