intercooler size

i'm still peicing my turbo kit together. and now i'm ready to buy the fmic. i wanted to do a awic but the cost of it is too high. and i'm affraid that if the water pump fails, then i pretty much screwed.

i've been looking on ebay for intercooler for quite some time now (i know). and this one http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/ws/eB...tem=7986180904
keeps catchign my attention. it looks like the end tanks on these are made of cast aluminum and the shape of it seems like it flows pretty well, compared to the squarish endtanks some shops make.

these are the specs on it
*
Core Size, 6.5" X 26.5" X 3.5"
*
Overall lenght 27.5"
*
2.5" inlet/outlet
*
760 CFM flow rate
*
510 HP efficient

* 3.5" thick
* 26.5" long core
* 6.5" high
* 2.5" inlet/outlet
* 1cfm @ 1.5 psi drop

i'm planning to run a to4e 60trim with an ar of 70 i would like to get a gt35r but that's way out of my price range for now.

has anyone had any experience with this intercooler?

Well, it is an SSautochrome intercooler and they have a really bad repuation for build quailty. If your going to go with an Ebay intercooler I would buy from Jrpr1 or boostcoolers. I got mine from Jrpr1

I bought on but from a different company off ebay had it pressure tested and stuff works great. it is a mishimoto or something worked out really well and the same size you are looking at.

I wouldn't worry about their intercoolers too much. I've seen quite a few of them and they're fine. An intercooler isn't like buying a turbo or wastegate from them, there's not a lot of parts that can fail. Heck, I bought one of their manifolds for my wife's car 2 years ago (when I didn't know any better), and it's still holding up, no cracks, no failure.
