another 3" charge pipe question

Ok guys not to be repetive, but i need a solid answer on the 3" charge piping. With my stock size throttle body would it be worthwhile to swith to a 3" charge pipe? Have any of you with the 3" charge pipe noticed any boost gains?

I would say spend the $ on a few dyno pulls before spending the dough on 3" charge piping.

your MAF is on the non-charged side, right? The LatinMax CAI would be a worthier investment. You wouldn't be able to fit the larger piping there anyway.

I wanted to do the cai and 3" charge pipe at the same time. Why wouldn't i be able to run the larger pipe?

well with the crossover, it takes up so much space so clearance is a factor. if you get the cai and crossover at the same time, more power to ya!

how is everything running?

You could always put a Pathfinder TB and bore out that DEK manifold a little. I have one at my house that I would be willing to sell you cheap if you wanted to buy it, otherwise I am keeping it for myself. I am not positive if the TPS is the same style as the 4th gen/PF though.

My opinion has almost become if Mardigras did it then it is probably not a bad idea.

:o)

I would like to know the answer to Chris's question too.
I received my Miata aftercooler and now is the time to go all 3". The easiest thing to do is just cut out a 12" section of existing 2.5" crossover tube and slap this baby in. In the Miata, it goes from a 2.5" intake to the 3" cooler back to 2.5". I would be doing the same thing if I simply cut out a 12" section. I'm really torn. If three inches is better, I'll do it, if it is worse and/or makes no difference, I'd much prefer to stay 2.5".
