jdm vq30det

Instead of doing a custom turbo setup, seems like it would be a lot easier and cheaper to get a jdm vq30det, scrap the vq30det rwd block, and transfer over the bottom end and the heads to the vq30de fwd block.

I looked at the other threads and didn't see this mentioned.

ok so i dont get it. Your going to lower the compression, put in the rods pistions and cranks....and run it n/a??????? If thats the case you can save some money and put in some 87 octane.

uh, no use the turbo and all the accessories that come with it. seems to me that you could use a lot more boost with the vq30det bottom end than with the vq30de bottom end.

You would have to get a whole front clip.....Sourcing just the motor won't get you anthing but the motor.

And how is this easier again?

Until you start blowing motors from power, don't worry about it. Engine built should be the last thing on your mind. Get a good fuel setup and a good tuning setup. With this you can make a stock VQ30DE last over 450WHP.
