melting coils

For those who know, what was the amount of time the emanage timing harness was hooked up with out diodes and the coil packs melted. I downloaded the patch and the car has been running for a few hours with no apparent problems.

I melted two of mine after about 2days I would say. I then added the diodes and had no problems.

I cant recall, It wasnt my cable so I dont know. You can tell by looking at the IGNITION wire on the eManage and see if the sheething was sliced and retaped. Thats what I did on mine to put the diodes on each of the 6 wires.

I plan on getting the emanage ultimate for my 2002 when I start with my turbo setup next month, so I would have to update the emanage to avoid my coils from melting, or will the new emanage already be updated enough?
