it's not compatible with the aftermarket headers because the flanges on the headers sit alot lower on the car. our stock headers flow great, so i didn't think it was worth while making turbo headers..

i want to take this chance to thank everyone for being patient with this.. it seems as if things just weren't going my way with all the delays.. however i'm real happy with how the prototype turned out to be.. so far for the auto's u only loose about an inch of ground clearance. this kit fits both..

i just picked up two intercoolers today.. the size is 28x8x3.5" the inlet and outlets are 2.5" it seems like a great size intercooler to go with, it's bar and plate. chances are, i'm going to sell the intercooler piping with the intercooler. i'm having a heck of a time chopping half the front bumper reinforcement beam on my car, it seems as if the jigsaw is not the way to go, so i'll take it into the shop and use the plasma cutter. i should be able to have the intercooler piping done within' a day..

3.5" thick? That seems like it will be a very tight fit even after doing a lot of hacking. I already ordered a bar and plate 29"x8"x3" intercooler so I will just buy the piping or just do my own.

I already bought me IC which is a 28x6.25x3 and the piping also. I am trying to mock I30tMikeD's setup where the midpipe and maf are in the same location as stock however, its been a little troublesome and I may have to go with the PFI's way to IC it.
If thats the case with the IC from the compressor-side dropping straight down and 90 degree bend to the front of the car, would you see any conflicts with it and any of the feed or downpipe?

did you say you were auto or manual? if you're auto then that won't work because the ic pipe would run into the auto tranny
if it's manual then maybe.. i'll know by tomorrow

basically everything except the reverse y?

its a foward y-pipe. Why would you want any other parts, when the rest of the piping depends on the manifold or in this case the foward y-pipe. That is just weird question.

b/c i have aftermarket headers so a foreward y with the design for stock headers would not fit, i would have to have a custom y made to fit to the rest of the pipeing.
does this not make sense?

from what mingo said, his feedpipe would not fit you're aftermarket headers, therefore you would need to either make you're own feedpipe or put your stock headers backon. However, the downpipe should not have any problems.

you can go to any speed shop for them to make your downpipe, and intercooler piping.

small update..
i'm fully in charge of what goes on now.. i got sick of waiting and waiting.. so now the manufacture gave in to my nagging and is letting me work on everything there myself.. today i mounted the intercooler.. it looks real nice and it's rock solid. hopefully i can finish the intercooler piping tomorrow and also build the 3" cat back. the cat back should be fairly simple to build.

as i said before, our stock manifolds flow plenty well already, i recomend you just bolting them back on and running the forward y-pipe.. if you want to add a few extra feet to your turbo feed pipe then make it however you like. and it'll make things more troublesome for you if you bought some parts from me and other parts from somewhere else.. but if you want i can still sell you what ever you want.

half the intercooler piping is done.. i had to pick up some more tools..

i'm out there welding and what not now too. so everything will be up and ready sooner..

a brief history about me:

i've been working on cars for over 8 years. i've been formally trained but was just 2months shy of getting ase certified.. i've been doing alot of custom work for numerous project cars of different makes and models. i've worked with custom turbo kits before and have designed a few myself. i am mechanically inclined and am **** as hell so that means i'm meticulous so the end products will not fall short of my expectations.

SO when i say i'm working on it, you best believe that it's in good hands.. and i'm in no way rushing or half A$$ing any of the kit. that's why it's taken so long, it's been redone 2.5 times because it wasn't "perfect"

the original design was made back in 99 so it's not a knock off.. a few OG members can vouch for that.

anyways.. it's time that i get back to work.. i hope that the first working peice will be done by next weekend.. that's the deadline i'm shooting for...

it is auto friendly as it was prototyped on an auto donor car. the donor will remain ananomous until the kit is reveiled..

sounds like its coming along quite nice, I wish i knew you were doing the IC piping at the same time as the turbo pipes, I would have bought them from you instead of making my own.
What else do you have left? exhaust? I don't think that would take you much time to do.

why would it seem weird? the manufacturing facility is mostly open air. the pipe benders and what not are indoors but the rest is outdoors.. and so are the lifts for prototype vehicles.. so to test fit the pipes and what not it has to be out doors.

the guy wants to build a roof over his place but to do that that means he'll have to shut down for a few days or a few weeks to be able to build that roof and what not.. most businesses aren't willing to shut down for that long.. he gets alot of overseas orders and what not too so he can't afford any down time. plus CA is strict on building codes.
