Replacement filter K&N part number V1/V2

Anyone know the correct K&N part number for a replacement pancake air filter for a V1 SC? Or just some rough measurements of what the filter might be? Will an RC-1790 or RU-1790 fit?

Stillen was not very helpful at all when I called them to ask about it. And no, I don't want to do the CAI mod...yet - gives me something to look forward to later on!

TIA!

Also, does the inlet have an offset or is it centered in the middle? If someone could measure the dimensions of their filter for me, then I would...be very very appreciative.

The number on my K&N box says RA-0980. Hope that helps.

Whoo, you are awesome! The inlet on the filter is 3" but isn't the inlet on the blower a 3.5"? I guess that means I need to buy a 3.0" to 3.5" coupler plus metal brackets.

Not sure about the inlet size on the V1 because I have the V2. I think mine is 3" diameter because I bought a rubber coupler from Home Depot for my CAI.

Btw, Stillen was helpful only because I was in the same predicament as you and bought the drum filter from them.

Good, I already ordered a 3.0" to 3.5" hose reducer with clamps from ATPturbo.com

Aaand, I drove to Stillen and demanded for the air filter. They found one left in the warehouse, so I bought it. I also spoke with Jason@Stillen who told me the maxima Supercharger kit is officially discontinued. There aren't any full kits left, but if you need spare misc parts, they do have some on hand.

bumping this instead of reposting....i did a "local dealer" search on k&N, and according to them, every automotive store carries this filter...is this probably true? or is this like a special order filter? autozone, pepboys? or do i HAVE to go through stillen?

No you don't have to go through Stillen. I'm in socal, about 5 minutes away from Stillen's warehouse (they had one last one in stock). Every other place I called (pepboys/napa/autozone) had to special order the part from K&N with a 5 day waiting period.

Part RA-0980 is the correct K&N filter part. And for anyone still wondering, the intake uses a straight 3.5" coupler (not a reducer).

Why would you want to reduce your intake size by a half inch? Your best results will be seen from having the 3.5 piping with a 3.5 filter inlet

The stock K&N pancake actually has a 3.0" opening but the inlet diameter is so beefy that you have to use a 3.5" coupler to fit over it.
