Putting in the Walbro on a full tank

Although its been recommended to replace the stock fuel pump with the Walbro with a 1/4 full tank of gas the current volatility of pump prices means that I have to take advantage when it happens. Last night the price dropped and I filled up my tank at $1.06/litre for 92 octane when the daily average is about $1.15/litre for 89 octane.

I was planning to do the swap tonight but now with a full tank should I go ahead and be extra cautious or should I let the fuel level drop down before the next fill-up?

I've done it before with a pretty full tank, just be careful. it not like when the tank is full the gasoline is up to the brim.

I was at 1/4 tank last night too

Hard to do when you come across cheap gas prices nowadays. You snooze you lose.

Just wait a couple days to put it in if you're worried about it...

But yeah it won't cause any problem other than your hands being in gasoline the whole time. And you WILL get cuts on your hands from the rim of the gas tank. Gas + cuts = ouch.

Serious. WTF is the big deal? It takes no more than 20 minutes and I get any cuts. Oh and welded the pump back in with a full tank. LOL.
