Best place to tap lower oil pan?

Best place to tap lower oil pan?

Getting ready to install my return line. For those of you who have the return line going to the lower oil pan is there a certain spot that is best to drain it thanx.

the higest point on the low oil pan I guess. Theres really no best point I guess

yeah like spanishrice said you want to be in the highest point so it can drain back into the pan, and where it will suit you best for you kit. DOnt go to low in the pan becasue it will just puddle up. YOu can fully insert the dip stick and check the full level to see where the high point is in the pan

Are you talking about the one with the red circle or the HOLE in the middle of the pan?I tap mine in the middle of the upper pan,look next to the O2 sensor.

Thats where the ac compressor is so if you're not running ac, that would be a good spot.

that would be a great place to tap if you don't want to run your a/c anymore.. then you can just drop the steel pan and let the shavings fall out the bottom. that way you don't need to remove the upper pan.

Mingo, are you gonna do that L fitting inside the lower oil pan like you said? I really dont want to drop the upper oil pan so if your plan works thats what I may do.

if you do the L shape thing you gonna have to force engine oil upward for whatever length it's gonna be so i'm not sure if this is gonna be of any benefits to your setup
