I got one question for the Sc guys. If i get the stillen SC and bolted it to my 01 auto and left it at base boost which is i believe 7psi. woould i be able to leave the rest of the car stock and not have to worry about having any problems..

You'll need the vb mod done to preserve the auto tranny. Level 10 I believe is the product. Also you'll need an auto tranny oil cooler like the B&M Supercooler.

Even at 7psi you should worry about your AFR. I would at least get a FPR off ebay or something.

Better to be safe.

I've heard some horror stories about Level 10, Max tuning and Don's VB mods. Personally, I have mine done by Jeff at Maximum Tuning in Glen Cove, LI.

Tranny Cooler is a great suggestion.

Did you put the whole kit in? If so, the fmu and t-rex pump should be fine for your fueling, but make sure your Hobb's switch is wired in correctly. Mine wasn't at first and was causing a way lean situation.

No problem. Sorry, some of use get used to using the abbreviations.

An FPR is actually an AFPR, an Adjustable Fuel Pressure Regulator. It allows you to bump or drop fuel pressure. If you are running the stock setup, you will not have to worry about that.

The Hobb's switch is what activates the t-rex (auxillary) fuel pump. When it sees pressure, it turns the pump on so you won't go lean. Your stock pump does not flow enough to supply enough fuel under boosting.

You can actually get some FPR's to add more fuel based on how many pounds of boost your are pushing automatically. So for instance, for every pound of boost you run it will add x fuel to the mixture.

so all in all i will need:
1.vb mod
2.hobbs switch
is that it.
is everything else included in the kit.

thanks everyone for the info

ps are the engine internals strong enough to handle the SC.
do i have to do anything to override the ECU...Like get a SAFCII or the greddy e-m,anage? or is that just simply going overboard....
rememeber i am not gonna adjust it once its dialed in . im keeping it at stock boost for now

thanks

The hobbs switch should be included with the kit. If its used, its that big jumble of wires.
