stroker kit 4.2
has anyone ever heard of that stroker kit for the 3.5 motors.......brings it from a 3.5 to a 4.2.......just curious........wouldnt that solve most of peoples problems when they want to build a 3.5 up to turbo or SC........???????

Its cheaper to go with the Darton Mid Sleeve Kit, 100 mm pistons, and forged rods over the AEBS kit. Or you can do the same thing with the 4.0 block and get 4.8 liters. The AEBS kits is too expensive.

You aren't going to be able to build a 3.5 and turbo it and put it in a 4th gen for 8k, let alone stroke and bore a 3.5. Trust me, I've got wayyyy more than 8k into my turbo setup and its still a regular stock 3.0.

If I remember correctly, the AEBS 4.3 stroker is no longer available. My memory is poor, but I think only 8 were sold in the US, 6 of those already being dead. My roommate owns one of the remaining 2, which he has a GT42r on in his 350Z. It has only seen a few miles (the whole car only has 2000 miles) and he is finishing up installing his Magneti Marelli (standalone used in F1 cars.. see: Marlboro/Shell car) right now and we'll see how it holds up to high boost in the coming weeks
I would go with spanish rice's suggestion, or just build a 3.5! More importantly though, what transmission are you going to use that can hold the power?

Z32, maxima, and 350z transmissions are all interchangable right? I would think the Z32 5-speed is the strongest. A lot of people get 600 whp outta a stock Z32 block, I am guessing they just upgrade the clutch for the power.

The Z32 trannies are supposed to be able to handle 600 hp pretty easily. Its basically the same tranny used in some of the Skylines I believe.

dude... have you ever seen a rwd tranny on a fwd car before??? running power to one wheel extending out from the car a couple feet is hot as hell!! ...setting up suspension on that one wheel is a bit more difficult though, you pretty much have to rely on the other three for that and just hope nothing breaks when you hit a bump.
it brings a whole new meaning to the term one wheel wonder

i'd just like to note that in my last reply i was just joking around an in no way wanted that reply to make it look like i was flaming Kevlo911 (not that i could really flame him for saying a rwd tranny wouldn't fit in a fwd car... )
