VQ32de is a working setup, finally

well this past weekend i got it all up and running.

specs

VQ35 block and pistons
VQ30 crank and rods
VQ35 heads with mild port and polish with VK45de titanium valves
JWT VQ35 cams
ARP head bolts
Lots of boost with the low comp i now have

I tested it out yesterday with 12 psi and it pulls real nice, boost comes in a lil sooner with the bigger displacement. I was boosting 12 psi in 6th gear @2800rpm

Dyno #s within a few weeks once i get everything setup a lil better.

Stage 5 exhaust housing is good for alot of power (on my to4r its good for 720hp) and is better then the T4 center trash housing all the other guys use.

Oh Tilley, I am SO getting a ride when I come up. We should dyno the same day if you can get it running good within a month. And when you're not looking, I'm gonna steal your keys and go for a ride
Congrats on getting it running man, that's incredible. You running the JWT ECU? If not, I guess you don't plan on running to 7000....did you find a clutch that can hold the power yet? You getting traction anytime lately?
BTW- What IM are you running? Tweaked 00VI?

How is throttle response compared to the higher compression VQ30 and VQ35's?

I've been trying to decide which hybrid route I'm going to take if I do infact go that way. What would you attribute the rev-happiness too? Do you know the true compresion of this setup? Is it horribly low?

8.5to1 if you did this setup you could run one hell of a shot of NOS....I think its due too light weight valve train.

Can you also explain how one puts VK valves in a VQ35 head?

Have you told the 350Z guys yet? I bet they would be quite interested in that.

How 'bout 13lbs and a small shot of juice? Is there still good throttle response with that low of comp?

Still good throttle response, you can feel that its a lil weaker under 3k but yet i think that is a combo of cams/low comp/VI wide open on the 2k2 IM

Why do you have it like that? Why not set up an RPM switch? Or is that still in the plans?

Cant do video anymore......overboost is my worst friend. I made a mistake when changin the plugs, i pulled the wastegate vac line and when i took it for a spin it was not hooked up so it hit full boost which must have been alot cuase it was insane sounding till it blew a rod through the oil pan.

wouldn't the turbo not spin more psi than what wastegate spring is in the wastegate? Or is it the minimum psi?

Nope, the wastegate never sees any PSI to open at, since the vac line was not connected.
