Wastgate\ Issues

Need help with this one.

Currently, I have the Tial 35mm Waste-gate using a 5 pound spring. For years I did not use any boost controllers until recently.

Before the Boost controller installed, I would get 5 psi under boost since the stock spring is 5 pounds. When, attached using the Greddy Profec B Spec 2 unit, I've noticed the stock boost would be at 3psi. Also when adjusting the settings using the boost Controller, Boost would be laggy.

To rectify this issue, I've detached the solenoid valve and substituted a T fitting between the Compressor and waste-gate. Keep in mind, the nipple part on "top" of the waste-gate is "plugged". With the T in place, boost responsiveness is quite noticeable. But I'm no longer seeing 5 psi like before. I'm seeing roughly 3.4psi - 4.3psi. I guess there is a bit of pressure lose somewhere?

But what I found interesting, by using different diameter size T's dictates the Boost responsiveness of the turbo.

So what I'm trying to troubleshoot to see whether I have a faulty Solenoid valve or waste-gate.

Heck I might change from a tial to prabably an HKS, as well as changing the seleniod.
