It's about the same. I like the Tial better, though. It sounds better (quieter) when releasing high pressure air between shifts, and it looks really nice. It also has a V-band clamp with the flange.

I would go with the Tial. They both release air at idle.

I have the preload spring on my Mondo set to give just enough air release under vacuum to prevent surging during cruising. You have to experiment.

Its a snap ring. Do yourself a favor and get snap ring pliers. Even with those its tricky. Mike had a helluva time getting his in properly.

I broke a set of pliers on that damned snap ring.

Ended up taking it down to the local shop and having them do it.

At least they were cool and didn't charge me.

Damn snap rings. Of all the **** I went through with my TC install the damn little snap ring on my HKS SSQV was one of the most PITA things. Spent a while night on it and spent like $50 in different pliers

LMAOOOOOOOOOO, what exactly is a snap ring? A rubber piece of some sort that wedges and creates an air tight seal around the flange?

More like a stiff **** metal retaining ring with two little nubs where you can stick the snap-ring pliers.

A snap ring is a circular piece of metal(think of a circular horseshoe), that holds the BOV to the BOV adapter. Once the snap ring sits low enough in the flange, it will fall into a groove and create an air tight seal around the flange. At the ends of the snapring or two little holes, which the snap ring tool hooks into, which allows you to compress/bend the snapring as you drop it into the flange and force it into the groove I mentioned. If you look carefully at the flange pipe pic you posted, you can barely see the groove underneath the lip of the flange which the snap ring goes into.

Thanks guys. Good info. I will need this 3" pipe with setup you're selling? I know I asked about the BOV assembly, but I'm asking about the actual 3'" pipe its on.
