Okay my buddy finally uploaded some vids of my car, I'm sorry for the short/crappy quality of filming. It is a lot of street racing and if any of the mods feel like its inappropriate for this forum, feel free to move it. I just felt like it pertain to my max being turbo rather hey "I did some street racing tonight..."

All of those races I was on about 6-8 psi. Some corrections need to be made is that the N2O Max is on 100shot. The last race with me/GTO/240sx(8psi not 6psi), at the end of that race I was on the GTO's bumper, me and him are more dead even, its whoever gets a jump first.

I'm currently on 9-9.5 psi (high boost setting) its a bit faster now. Enjoy!

it was hard to tell who's who but it didnt seem like anyone was moving that hard, what are you guys doing in the 1/4? either way nice vid and nice kills.

 

Did the Maxima with nitrous beat you?

 

none of us (turbo) knows yet what type of 1/4 times since all of the setup were new this winter. We are up here at 4900ft so elevation for the cars especailly the NA hurts, the N2o max runs only 14.0 in the 1/4 with a 75 shot. You also gotta remember we are not on all boostings that much, I was on like 6psi and the last race 8psi while the 240sx was 6.5psi, the NX200 was on 10psi. I think out of all the videos that he put together, the one with me/srt4/100shot max was the most telling...
When the 240sx, me and the n2o nitrous are relatively close but as you can see I'm still pulling steadily on them. Some of the videos such as the nx200 vs me and jetta vs 240sx and me are kinda decieving, the nx200 got a great jump on me and the jetta video I was really messing around. This was my friends first video so he just threw together a bunch rather than actual quality first person videos. I personally thinks that it made my car looks slower than it did just because most of the time it was a 3rd person view and was hard to see the outcome of the race from behind so its up to the viewer to judge.
Again I'm not trying to make excuses for any of video, it was just a video of my car being boosted and thats all I care really about...

I might be able to dyno the car today at 9psi so we shall see what kinda numbers I'll be putting down then we can tell if my car is running like it should or not.

 

no, both times I pull him. On the freeway and when I raced the 240sx and the 100shot max (its the third and fourth video). The more I watch the videos the madder I get just cuz all of the outcome of the videos were cut short.

I have the camera so maybe I can do a better job editing them and show the race longer rather than bunch them together.

 

Pulls are so short its hard to tell anything at all. Is it just the video clips that are short or were the runs that short?

 

the one when you ran the 240 looked the best and now that i know who's who your car did pull pretty nice that run. plus the srt run showed you guys are running good because he got whupped lol. finish line videos are the best to me you get to see the full impact of the kill.

 

videos are short, runs arent hence I kinda regret posting the videos. Its doesnt show the outcome of the race as clear as it should. It just shows like a 5-10sec clip of it. I apologize again for the quality of the video, like I said the srt4 video is probably the best/longest one.

lol well to make it clear for everyone: I'm in the sterling mist max, the 5th gen is the spraying...maybe that clears it up a little

Mods: Intake, 2.5 exhaust, pulley, ypipe, 100 shot zex wet, 2 step colder plugs, inline fuel pump.

4th Gen 5spd.
Mods: GT35R/T4 (currently 9psi) vids were 6-8psi, 2.5 forward-y, 3in downpipe & exhaust, Walbro 255 FP, Accufab AFPR, SAFCII, SPEC Stage 3 clutch, Fidanza Flywheel, Pulley, Greddy timer/ebc, 2 step colder plugs amount other small things here and there.

Did some more vids of the 240sx and me. Also had some other races, another srt4 vid (fromt he starting line tho), turbo civic @ 10psi. I will try to up load those soon, its on my friends camera...

Couple questions about that latest vid.

1) What was the camera vehicle a Lightning? That's the only thing I can think of that is that tall, has really square mirrors like that, and has a roots under the hood.

2) was that civic an SI or EX or what?

 

It was a TRD SC 4Runner 5spd

I dont know exactly is done to that civic but I think is an B16 swap, he said he was on 10psi.

Yea it was the first that I've seen, its actually the factory TRD SC kit that they put on Tacomas. Its actually decent fast, I have vids of it smoke ricey civics (I know, not too impressive) but another one of my friends has a TRD SC Tacoma on 33's and the 4Runner beats pulls it steadily.

Yea its aftermarket for $2500.

 

Dang only $2500, nice. I'd rock one of those for a daily driver for sure.

 

I dont know if thats just for the kit which comes with everything to run 7psi (comes with subinjectors) or installed too but i think its well worth it. The only thing I can complain about it is that it only redlines at 5500, you can tell it needs a higher redline and would benefit immensely from it.

 

yeh much better vids it shows the power of the car. the civic is running nice too its a shame you broke his heart lol.

 

That is for the supercharger only, no fuel mods. To really get the proper performance you need the TRD 7th injector kit, or the URD fuel upgrade (larger injectors, fuel pump). Without fuel mods, the SC adds 60HP, with fuel mods it adds 90HP. I have the 7th injector, my dyno showed 232 rwhp, the engine is 190 stock at the crank. The truck was much quicker before the 33's... with the 31's I really surprised the rice rockets.

 

Ryan, Tyson does have the seventh injector... Tyson got this SC for a deal for 2500 but they are more money... I believe they are discontinued now but they are still around... I was videoing, Tyson doesn't have any exhaust upgrades or anything other than the SC but as you can tell we are flooring it and justins max pulls like were standing still... Justin we gotta get some better vids of the 4runner tho we surprised a lot of people

 

So thats why the video quality stinks.

 

he wasnt all that bad hehe, but it could have been worst with a crappier camera. So Ryan, call it what you want, you should bring out the truck sometime so we can get that on video.

Still gotta uplaod the 240 race. Kasey, the CD didnt have the R/T charger in it so I couldnt tell if that was really crappy or not.

 

i accidentally erased that video, but roger didn't work my camera very well and only got a glimpse of the charger getting a jump on you and that was all, needless to say that, Yes, I was driving but 2nd and third he didn't stand a chance

 

You can video me anytime - on the track. There is no way I'm having my truck on a street racing video. I'm too old for that. Rocky Mountain this year however, lets definately plan a track night!
