4th gen vs. 5th gen SC kits

Hay Guys,

I am thinking about buying a 01 AE and transfering my SC from my 96 to the 01. I know this is possible and the plate will bolt to the timing chain cover but what are some differences that I should be aware of if any? Any info would be appreciated.

Thanks

all you will have to do is move your maf to the inlet side of the blower and put a section of pipe in place of where your maf was on you 4th gen. Or you could just buy my charge pipe

I forget what the stock 5th gen power steering coolers are like, but if they are a joke like the '98/'99 Max's, you may need a '95-'97 stock PS cooler or an aftermarket cooler. You'll also need to get a new C.A.R.B. sticker (if you care/need). I 'think' that's it. Also, keep in mind how delicate the 5th gen. MAFs are. Good luck.

P.s. Mhadford is selling his 5th gen. intake piping I believe.

actually i haven't had any problems w/ the maf. If you run it on the inlet side of the blower it is perfectly fine. I just reused my stock power steering cooler and it works like a charm.

And yes, if you don't have a emanage i would recirculate the bov.
