E-manage- Blue vs Ultimate- differences?

I am looking for the differences between the two platforms. Based on what I have read, the only thing an Ultimate has over the Blue is datalogging capabilities, connectivity to a laptop via USB, and improved injector control... what else am I missing? The Blue ignition and injector harnesses seem to add all the ignition and injector functionality someone would need for an F/I application... do they?

Greddy's website doesn't seem to detail these too well.

Alot more maps avaiable, Rev limit extender, A/F Target Map, NVCS map for controlling 00VI or MEVI, The ability to use Cam and Crank Signals (well not yet) Abilitity to Adjust Lag time on Injectors, Scaling injectors a bit more easier.

Ultimate:
Better injector control and scalling, completely control pulsewidth
Can read and advance timing (with Cranks sensors and v2.0beta)
2 step rev limit for drag racing
Data logging
Run without a MAF, and just use the pressure sensor

Blue:
Cheaper
Can hook up profec E01

Both:
Extending Rev limit through adding fuel past 6500rpm
retard timing
Adjust MAF voltage and some injector control
with a $10 GM solenoid, you can have a fully adjustible boost controller

There is a world of difference in the capabilities between the 2. The best thing to do is download the manuals off the mohdparts site. Reading through them will give you a much better idea of what all the EU can do over the Blue.

I think you just add fuel after the stock rev limit at 6500. Since you are boosted you might want to pay attention to timing and be careful once you are above the stock cut. The RLC map really isn't necessary.

Correction: No one has gotten the extended rev cut to work on blue. You do not need the RLC map, but there might be something else that holds blue back.

I think the Ultimate is for the serious enthusiast, aka a track maxima/racing. Blue in my opinion is just for the daily driver. Comparing Ultimate to blue is like Playstation 1 vs Playstation 3 imo.

In terms of features and function, yes the comparison is valid but I wouldn't say the EU is just for a track car. It depends on the setup, but it could be extremely useful for a street car as well, especially a boosted one.

It allows you to easily run much larger injectors without needing a FMU, run a pressure sensor instead of a MAF, or possibly negate the need to get a higher reading MAF (ie -airflow clamps if the stock one is maxed out), retard timing and add fuel, it could be used as a boost controller, not to mention all the datalogging etc, etc.. the list goes on and on, I'm probably forgetting something obvious.

IMO those kinds of things are universally useful, not just at the track.

Also open up your MEVI, or 00VI with a built in RPM switch

I have been following you on this for awhile and some I still don't understand, and I am sure when I get it (when it officially releases) I will learn a lot more.

Is it easier to have it and navigate through the options etc or is it a PITA, I am an average computer user, with pretty decent knowledge of our motors, just hoping I don't get it and get flustered because I can't figure the SOB out..

No you cannot raise the rev limiter with the blue according to what we know right now and our analysis of how the blue works.

The software is actually quite user-friendly if you ask me. I'm always willing to respond to questions though if you need help...
