vortech sound explanation?

okay.. well my v2 was making the marbles noise, and i had a frozen BOV which i pounded halfway open to vent some air.. and im going to replace it so i cut it off and welded the new flange on.. the BOV hasnt arrived yet so im running it open. and now the marbles sound at idle went away. weird.. but it only made the marbles sound at idle.. never up the rpm range.. but now no marbles at all ever.. any explanation of this?

When it was closed, air was being forced back through the blower and the blower doesnt like that, probably resulting in that noise you heard....Air should vent at idle, always before the MAF.
