now my question is "why would nissan re engineer a whole new block for a different car, why wouldnt they keep it the same like they did with the old vg30 motors isint changing a lil thing cost a lot of money in the long run producing 1000's of motors?"

btw where is the pics

A 9:1 compression n/a VQ30 would most definitely suck. The thicker ring lands would be unnecessary for the maxima application. Ditto piston oil squirters and larger rod journals. Also remember, nissan was in a financial funk in the mid-90's so i would think they saved money by doing it this way.

now freddy ur just being a child...and to be fully honest the only thing keeping a max from being rwd is someone willing to cut up their car. many other platforms have made the leap to rwd and someday a max will do it if it hasnt already been done. if something like that is worth it is another matter

LOL, why is it always funds. Why can't we just know people, do it ourselves, or get really good discounts. BK FTW though.

even with discounts u still need funds to pay for things, unless you get the famous bk 5 finger discount then i understand
