magnaflow turbo xl muffler question

The magnaflow turbo xl is a 3 chamber muffler to keep that baffle sound down. How does this muffler compare to a straight flow design, will I loose any power or spool up time? thanks

you'll probably lose a little bit of both. downpipe and feed pipe design is more important than all the way back at the muffler is. worry about those first.

I would go with the Dynomax Superturbo. Not a fan of Magnaflow mufflers, I think they sound like ****. Their resonators are great though.

Do you happen to have a picture of your setup?

Dynomax superturbo is awsome! very quiet and at wot sounds nice. How ever I am not sure if it would restrict for turbo setup. maybe the 3" in/out let superturbo would be ideal..

My straight through Magnaflow is the same way... quiet while cruising and sounds good when going crazy and that's with a straight exhaust from the turbo back. It does drone at low rpm, but lower than what I cruise at.

Summit, or i think discount autoparts can order them for you as well. I kno they always have the 2.5" ones in stock but not the 3"
