any suggestions?
i instaled emanage blue, but only for the fuel tuning thru the mad because some wires were missing. a/f seems to be fixed and i have no hesitation, however in the 4500rpm+ range it sounds like valve pinging... any ideas how to fix this?
p.s. im on vacation and had temp. access to a comp so i probably wont be able to reply till the 4th.

It sounds like detonation. If your car is running lean, you won't really notice a lot of hesitation. In fact it will probably run extremely well except for you will hear knocking.
I know all about it because my first time setting up my emanage, I didn't have my A/F correct and my WO2 went screwey on me, I didn't think much of it until I was driving down the road one day and could actually hear how bad it was detonating. After getting a new WO2 and doing some testing and datalogging, I found that it was actually running like a 13.5-14 at certain RPMs. After I adjusted that, worked like a charm, no more detonating.

the wires that are missing is.. the wires for to hook up the coils. as i think the guy before had a 4cyl and like an idiot, he pulled out the wires he didnt need and dumped them. ordered a new harness though, also dont have the harness yet for the injectors. how do i stop the detonation? I have the 3rd, 4th, and 5th dial on the emanage maxed out. and I have 555cc injectors so there shouldnt be a problem. also running fuel pressure at 40psi.. id think that should do it... any other things im missing out on? also I know I need to pull timing... but that has to wait till the new harness comes in...

your best bet is to get all the harnesses and hook it up that way, then get/borrow a laptop and hook it up to do your tuning. It's a lot easier to fine tune that way to make sure you can get fuel in the exact spots you need it.
There are a few people on other forums that have successfully tuned it just using the dials alone, so do some searching online and you can probably find some tips.
