In the wake of the DET craze..

Did anyone ever notice the pics on HAL's site that indicate Tilley has been using DET parts all along?.. Someone mentioned he had one sitting around, but damn how could that have gone unnoticed.

Take a look, maybe I'm just not the smartest guy, but that sure as hell looks like a DET IM and TB and he most likely used a bunch of other stuff as well.

ALSO, is it possible in that pic that he's using the DET turbo manifolds as well?

I can't tell from the pics. But in the top pic in the left corner that sure as hell look like a ced/glo turbo mani.

If he was indeed that far ahead of the rest of us, then mad props to him those pics must be old.

I had no idea he used that stuff. I knew he used internals, but not the manifolds.

Also looking at that pic... if one can use the DET IM with the DE LIM, you can probably run without the elbow and custom make a flange/mid-pipe since the angle of it looks very similar to the DE. The million dollar question is what gains will the DET IM yield?

I would imagine the DET mani is a simple setup much like the "boost coffin" setups you see on SR's and RB's when modified.
