Emanage Blue pressure sensor (do i HAVE to use greddy?)

I plan to use my EMB as a boost controller by using a GM solonoid, but i first need to get a boost sensor. Now they have the greddy one that is meant for the emanage for 100 bucks, are there any other boost sensors I can use? what kind of signal does the sensor give the emanage. voltage? resistance? maybe i can use a stock boosted car's sensor instead (cheaper). Any advice.

a 1 bar map sensor wouldn't work out too well... 1 bar map sensor senses only vacuum (it goes from -14.5psi up to 0psi which is a 1-bar range). 2 bar goes from -14.5 up to +14.5, 3 bar goes from -14.5 up to +29psi, etc. Get a 3 bar.
