How difficult?

Im planning on picking up a welder some time soon and learning to weld some pipe. How hard would it be to make a rear mount turbo kit by bending and welding pipe myself? I figured 75% of the cost of turbo kits is in the labor of making it, not the parts themselves, and a rear mount would prevent me from having to get new exhaust manifolds made up. If anyone has any links to turbo info it'd be a big help. I've been searching for a few days throughout the web and i cant find any info on how a turbo is set up, including all the parts(blow-offs, manifolds, oil for turbo, ect..).

BTW, i wont be going with anything very big, i'm looking for quick spool up, and only about 75hp gain. You might think im wasting my time and money, but the way i see it im saving my car in the long run.
