Broken Pintles :(

I just got a set of 370cc injectors and found all 4 of them to have broken pintles. Is it necessary to have them replaced? If so, where would I find replacements?

Are you going to have them cleaned before installing? Most places replace the pintles and gaskets for you when cleaning.

I've checked my yellow pages for fuel injector services and emailed one place close to me to see if they could repair them.
I've got a Z32 maf on its way here. Found a guy selling it in Florida on the FreshAlloy site and in conversation found out that he's coming up here to attend a wedding. Funny coincidence, eh?

$35.00 apiece for flow testing at this place I contacted.

I just looked at one of the broken pintles and its just a simple plastic ring. The guy I spoke said that he couldn't fix them and I went huh? Where can I get replacements?

$35 a piece and they can't even perform the simple act of replacing a pintle cap? hah - avoid that place like the plague.

http://www.deatschwerks.com/catalog/...r_services.php

$16 for basic, $21 for dynamic. both services are going to blow the services of someone who can't even replace pintle caps right out of the water. both of which also include brand new pintle caps by the way...

dynamic gives you results for before cleaning and after cleaning, so you can know how they changed with cleaning, and gives you dynamic flow rates at 75% duty cycle and a bunch of different fuel pressures as opposed to just static flow rates. static flow is the flow rate when the injector is just open 100% of the time, 100% duty cycle - that's the # you read when you say you have 370cc injectors or 555cc injectors. their dynamic flow will be less, and that is the flow that you can actually see when the injectors are in operation in your car.

edit: btw I don't work for deatschwerks so you probably want to call them up to confirm anything else that might differ between the two. I just like their product and the guys there so I support them and I know a little about their product and services.

I just received a 2nd set of 370cc injectors and noticed that the pintles on them are different from my first set. Both sets are the purple side feeds.
The 1st set has pintles that look like it has 4 prongs and the 2nd set are prongless and are smooth instead. Now I'm confused as to which pintle is correct.

Oh no! This name I found recommended in a local car enthusiast website.

About deatschwerks injectors...

I'm currently building my VQ30DEK, so I went on deatschwerks website and found the 505cc injectors would be good for my application, so I'm wondering if they directly fit on the max original fuel rail ? I have a 2k1.
