My boosting crossroads... please weigh-in

Hello... my name is D and I am boostaholic.

I have been sober for 2 YEARS.

My 95 max was running with a SC @ 10psi and a guesstimated 100 shot of juice. I knew what was coming - poof. I had just about wrapped up my wish list I had spent a year working on. I was hoping for at least a couple months with that setup but I only got about one. Sigh. Link to a vid that I shot just before the motor let go: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=vl_7QHcTHmM

Anyway, I just got another motor for this beast and now I am trying to figure out the answers to two questions:

1. Should I sell the SC and go turbo? I don't have a welding rig yet and don't want to spend much more money than I can get for the sale of the SC kit. Is that possible?

2. If I keep the SC, should I step up the diameter of the pully to get LESS boost? (I was running straight 104 unleaded to keep that motor from detonating and I have to drive 20+ miles each way and pay like $5.50/gal (back in '05))

1. You'll wind up spending more putting a turbo setup together than what you'll get for your SC kit. Plus, you'll have to research what parts you want to go with, and do some fabricating.

2. Keep the pulley at 10psi. Ditch the nitrous, or go with a really small 35 shot. Get a EU or VAFC and tune it. You'll be headache free.

Agreed. Turbo is going to build more power, but more will have to be invested.
Tune it and run 10psi safely.
