I did it the same way. And he can mount the ic before he knows where he is going to mount the turbo. All he has to do is route the pipes to it.

I removed the battery to relocate it in the trunk and I also cut off the battery tray and cut a 3 inch hole for the intercooler pipe to pass.

Not too much progress since the last post, you cut a hole.
Are you going to continue to post little things like this or wait untill you get decent chunks done and update bit by bit?
Just curious.

the turbo is going to be mounted pretty much above the front area where the transmission is next to where the battery was. The intercooler is just off of ebay.

That was one of the first thing I put on too.(intercooler) You can get the pipes started where you can connect later! I see nothing wrong with that!

I was just curious to know if you were planing on posting a pic of every little part you aquired vs. doing periodic updates with a couple of pics, and then a couple of more of them installed.

I have that same bov, it sounds like a turkey on boost from 6-10psi...no lie. Once you get past the 10psi it has a flutter to it. In all honesty I won't buy another one I really don't like it, kinda annoying.

The good thing is I haven't had any issues with compressor surge, and when you buy a bov that's what you should be buying one for not the sound. If you can live with the sound your turbo will stay "happy".

I wish I had a video of it, it does. It could vary from turbo to turbo, but so far I have had a 60-1, gt35r, and now a t61, and they have all had the turkey sound to them(little variance). I know a guy with a civic who has the same bov and it does sound different.

http://videos.streetfire.net/video/c...7e01623154.htm

Its not as bad in the video as it is in person, still sounds like a bird. That was 6psi

http://videos.streetfire.net/video/b...82000517d7.htm 15psi

Other people that have rode in my car have said the same thing.

Your right this is your build with your car, just giving my opinion on the bov you selected. Though I do have to hear it when ever I choose to drive that car. Good luck with your build.

calm down. Im not trying to be an ****, I just thought a build thread would be more interesting if it actually was showing a build in stages or some detailed progress vs a parts pictorial.
doc2278 has a nice setup. I would have liked to have seen his build up.
Its a public forum, if you dont want me to post, then dont create the thread.

ya see the thing is I don't care what you think. yes it is a public forum and you are entitled to your opinion but once again I don't care what you have to say or think I'm not going to change anything. there is no set way that you have to follow to make a thread get used to it I'm gong to do things how I want to. and like I said before if you don't like it get out.

absoundlab if you don't want people giving their opinion on things, don't post. as long as people are being civil, there is no reason they cannot post in any thread they choose and express their opinion.

well there is no reason for him to be b1tch1ng about what he is. I could understand is he is giving his opinion about the parts or something but not the lay out of the thread.
