SSR uses a Split Second fuel controller - no timing adjustment. think S-AFC.

for god's sake do not get anything done to your trans by level 10 - that company's transmissions are such utter ****...

SAFC . So, essentially, one could do 'better' w/ a EB?

chernmax is running the same set-up on his A34, maybe he should think UTEC.

Call Tim yourself with your questions about tuning he will tell you. He wants to sell kits so I cant see why he would hold information from you.

lots of people don't care to know the details of their own setup. they just like to write the check and wait for the phone call to tell them it's done...

The turbo is a Turbonetics T60-1. I know what is going into the car but you asked what is he tuning it with that I dont know. What I do know is that he is hoping to get it to the dyno on Wed. and tuning the car from there. He told me that after each run that he pulls the plugs and looks to see how the car is running then he adjust for more air fuel ect. when he is satified with the burn on the plug tuning is complete. So when you asked what is he tuning the car with. I dont know. But as far as spending the money and not knowing what is going into the car thats bull. Just go to speedforceracing.com and you can see for yourself what the kit consists of.

The Split Second box is what he is tuning the car with. That's what he was asking.

Just out of curiosity. Why would you make that statement about level ten? My boy has been using their transmision for over 3 years with supercharged and nitrous and it's daily driven. When he was going to the track. He was running 14 psi with a 75 shot. Now he is running 11 psi with 75 to 100 shot.. And he drives the car everyday.

I don't think I'm going to push my car further than what I have. My car is manual and I spoke to a couple guys who were using Par gears and still broke. I was considering going to auto. But I think I'm going to leave it where it is...

I still don't understand why we pay $4500 for gearsets and that does not include install and my boys with there Evo's, Dsm, and Supras are paying less.

more common car. When you make more you can offer them for less. When you have less you have to charge more to make your money.

the kit will have 440 injectors with clips a split second ftc turbonetics t03 04 60-1 a filter and all the necassary peaces to bolt it up to and if you are getting the kit you might need another tune based on where you live like if you live in cali then thats fine but like me i live in florida and there tune has me running lean i'm getting retuned now

Why would you be running leaner? Is it still using a MAF sensor? MAF will compensate for altitude, etc, depending on the tuning device. (EU will, UTEC will NOT, since it is 'hard' tuning)

If you're in the mountains like I am, then, if you're running w/o a MAF, and tuned for say lowlands in Cali, then you would be running pig rich up here.

Any dynojet runs on that thing?

Ok. It looks like now the car should be all back together and to the dyno on Tues. or Wed. (July 8, or 9). And I should be able to post some dyno slips this week coming. Tim finally got the polished turbo and all the piping back. And now all it needs is put back together and to the dyno, which he is telling me Tues.

Good luck with the setup. I just wish so many people wasn't having tranny problems.

I think SFR offers a tranny rebuild to go along with the turbo.

I had talked to someother guy on here. And I dont know why I should have problems with my tranny. Its a 6 speed with a stage 3 clutch. Why should my tranny be a problem. Its axles that concerns me not tranny. But I talked to Tim from SFR and he told me not to worry about the axles that they will be alright unless I put slicks on, then look out.

Havent seen too many 5.5th gens with tranny problems. Seems like nissan beefed their tranny up, while us 4g's are swapping them out every oil change

then again there arent too many 5ths putting down larger amounts of power stock (at least that I can think of)

Well yea your right. I know of one guy with a 3.5 turboed Maxima and he pulled his auto out and put in a 6 speed. And another guy I was talking to with the same motor (3.5 turboed) has an auto and he said his tranny is junk. He is going to either put a manual in or rebuild. I guess only time will tell.

Talked to Tim today Thur. and he is going to the dyno on Fri. (this sounds like a broken record) tomorrow. So now hopefully everything goes as planned and the mass air flow sensor doesn`t shut down and he can jack somemore fuel to the car. But, I will let you all know what happeneds.

Ok, now he ran into another problem not enough fuel. He said that the 440 injectors are good for over 400 whp but my fuel pump was never upgraded, so now on Monday (july 21) he is going to put a walbaro 255 fuel pump in and go to the dyno on Monday afternoon. So should know something on Monday evening.

So, now lets all bow are heads and pray that this MF gives me soom great results. We are running out of things to change.

Well, I guess the Altima kit doesn`t have the upgraded fuel pump so I quess thats why he thought that the maxima kit didn`t need one either. But, then again I am looking for over 400 vs. the altima kit that puts down 374. Anyway I will know tomorrow.
