how the HELL did I miss this thread?

I have a few questions about the build.

What did you make your flapper out of?

Is your turbo a divided t4 flange?

I'm trying to do this setup for my divided T4 flange manifold on my 1jz SC300.

Yes my turbo is a divided, if it wasn't this would be completely useless. The flapper is made of High temp stainless from mcmastercarr. The body is made of 1/8 stainless. this spring will tell how well it works.

Theoretically, if I sent you my manifold, would you be able to do this for me?

And how much would you charge?

I would do all of this myself, but I've welded once in my life, and don't have the tools or skills to replicate what you've done there.

yea i got the bugs worked out this past summer. Never got to the dyno or drag strip. Did quite a bit of time on the road course however. About midway through the summer after deeming the current motor "tired". I decided to change the motor and Redo alot of the setup. Mainly this involved an entirely new intake manifold. I dunno why i never posted about it then but maybe i will now. It is by far one of the best changes i ever made to the setup. Long/Large/symmetrical runners, Full symmetrical velocity stacks, and a pretty big plenum. The Whole power band improved vastly. A much better design that the Box i had bolted on for the past few years.

I havn't updated my thread forever either. Finally got moved to new shop today and got car in read to finish a few things. Hopefully actually get to pull it out and test out this setup this spring. Ive been thinking about building sheet metal intake plenum but for now I need some larger injectors.

well... what happened is... i drove it. Alot.. just got back from taking it to Virgina international speedway (VIR), Hilton head island south Carolina, and all around Florida. Didn't miss a beat, didnt even have to add oil in almost 4000 miles. I finally feel i have achieved what i wanted, a 350-400hp maxima that still has cruise, a/c, power steering, etc That can more than hold its own around a road course, is a pleasure to drive on a 4000 mile road trip, and.. most of all.. is Totally reliable.

Thats what happend

The maxima did not come with turbos. They were naturally aspirated.

VG30 3rd gens have a twin TB. I see them at the junkyard all the time. It's a 1 piece assembly with 2 throttle plates.

http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/THROT...Q5fAccessories

The 300zx/j30 have 2 completely seperate TBs that feed each bank independantly.

Lol read that wrong. I thought he was saying twin turbo throttle bodie. Might of been a little drunk when posted. I am working on making a collector like that for my setup. The current one is to restrictive for what I am running.
