A V-1 will be pretty loud and throw some pretty funky sounds off of it. Just keep your eye on the bottom of the case, where the scroll and the housing comes together for any type of oil leaking. Also pop the filter off after a few hundred miles and check the inlet for any oil.

You can send the blower off to Vortech to have it looked at, but then you have to deal with the down time of the car and they will most likely want to do a minor rebuild on it.

The "Inlet" side of the blower. You either have a filter on there or a pipe going into the fender well for a cold air system.
