Boosting to 8psi

What do i need to do to boost safely to 8psi as far as fuel is concerned?

i've got a vq30de with dek injectors 290cc, but everything else is stock for a 96 maxima as far as fuel is concerned. (i do have emanage ultimate though)

is a walbro 255 hp pump and a FMU enough, if so what disk should i use?

Also for 10psi what should be required? i'm thinking to do it properly i need larger injectors and a z32Maf? i'm almost finished my RMT project but i really need to organise fuel before i can go for a test drive.

Get the walbro 255 and an adjustable FPR.

EU will take care of the rest given that you can tune it accordingly.

So i don't need a FMU for the 290cc injectors? i thought they would be to small by them selves to deal with 8psi?

You're being a little too vague. 8 PSI is a completely useless number until we know what turbo you're using. 8 PSI from a T25 and 8 PSI from a T67, for example, are very different amounts of air.

its from a t3/t4 with a .57 compressor housing and a .50 exhaust housing, no intercooler but its rear mounted so the piping works as an intercooler.

That's a little better. I'll let someone more knowledgeable about the fuel systems than myself answer your question now that we have that bit of information.

Only partially true. Just ask streetzlegend

That statement is false. BUT, for 8psi on that turbo, it might not be an issue. I was at about 7 almost 8 non intercooled, but was using meth to cool. I always had the 370cc injectors.

as for your fuel setup, I was on stock pump for a few months at that same boost level, i dont recommend it however, nothing happend when i had it like that, but its always to be safe. Get the 255.

for 10psi, I suggest 370cc injectors at LEAST. that's good enough for a good amount of boost.

If you are using the stock injectors and walbro and decide to go fmu you will need the EU to trim the fuel at idle. You will also have to see where your afrs are at at wot and certain boost levels. FMU disk size is guess work so you may want to get an adjustable regulator one a Begi one. Of course you already have a wideband because if not that would be crazy to be driving and not know where you are at.

You could go with stock injectors, walbro and an afpr to trim the idle fuel pressure and just use the EU to do fuel corrections (adding fuel). FMUs are usually for systems that have no direct injector fuel control, like vafc and safc and usually stock fuel systems, but you have the EU. Remember maxima s/c kits came with fmus to use with the stock injectors but it is more of a crude way to make sure you had fuel for boost.

IMO you will want to get bigger injectors, since you have the deks you may be able to find 440s on my350z forums or brand new from Deatschwerks. With 290cc injectors you will be at 280hp to the wheels max. 8psi daily driver yes. Much more than that you need at least 370cc and z32 maf or emanage map sensor.

alright awesome, thats the response i was after maxgtr2000.

my understanding is that the fmu will atleast increase the pressure of the fuel so i can turn the 290cc injectors into a "370*" injectors when boost pressure comes on (* unknown figure, i just used "+30%").

Atleast this way i know that i've got a safe "just throw it in there" mechanical setup (walbro +fmu) for my daily drive before i start playing with the tune as i've got to be able to get to the dyno (or rev to 6500 for street tune) before i can tune it, and i don't really want it to explode before i can see that its far to lean.
and yes, i do have a wideband.
