This a stupid question "maybe" and I most likely will get flamed... but it is based on a worst case scenario...

Can a 3rd gen Walbro Fuel Pump Part No. gss3341 work in
a 4th gen....

Reason for the question is that Im going turbo but many of the listings on ebay and other places have the pump as 1989-1999... Of course I didnt do my correct research and purchased a 3rd gen pump... Any how just wondering if it would work...or if I should sell which i already put up for sale...

Looks possible to me based on pictures but have never installed a pump so I wouldnt honestly know... The difference in pumps seems to the location of the fuel port and electrical connections i believe..

It should work just fine.

 

For anyone who cares, anyone who makes the same mistake that i did... the third gen pump part no. gss3441 works in a 4th gen with slight modification...
