Looking for NY/Philly area Dyno shop with experience!

I hope to have the SC install complete in a week or so, and would like to find a shop in the (reasonable) area that has experience with similar setups.

My engine is a VQ35, running the 1996 Maxima ECU (I changed the timing gears, and such).

Everything ran great with "stock" settings, but the ProCharger C2 will for sure need it to be dyno tuned.

I spoke to someone at ATI who suggested all I needed was to put on larger injectors, and have the stock ECU tuned for them on a dyno. This sounds like a reasonable cost effective solution. They suggested "Altered Atmosphere Motorsports" in MD, but all e-mails and phone calls to that shop have gone unanswered. Only information I can find on the shop is a hit on Google where someone is calling them crooks?? Either way, it sounds like this shop is not around anymore.

Just using google, I have found a few shops in the area (central NJ), but would rather use someone who has experience with this setup.

Thanks

I would check with R/T Tuning in Lansdale, PA. I'm not sure if that's too far for you, but I know they do Nissan's there, they might be able to help you there.

about 90 min from me.. Worth the trip if they can do what I need.. Anyone have experience with them? Can they deal with a 1996 ECU? Most shops I have found don't deal with the VQ30 stuff, and/or want to sell me an expensive engine management system that they will then tune for more money.

There are a few members in the nyc area that can do the install and has done 3.5swaps and s/c installs. I would trust them over a shop that has never touched a 3.5 swap 4gen. Plus you will have a chance to learn about and how to fix your car if and when something breaks.

It's going to suck have to tow your car 90 miles everytime something happens

Is this on the Delorean? Cannot remember if you are the guy or not. A shop will not be able to tune the stock 1996 Maixma ECU. You need an Emanage or some sort of Air Fuel Controller if you want to make any changes and have the car run correctly. As far as I can remember no one has ever dyno tuned just using the stock ecu. You need a piggyback to controler larger injectors, timing, and such.

So, the information ATI provided me was incorrect?

They were incorrect in that you cannot directly tune 95-99 maxima ECU. They were correct that you need tuning done, but they don't know the specifics on how to do it with the ECU you have.

I believe pmohr on the .org here works at AAM. Now let me say I have great respect for pmohr's mechanical knowledge of these cars, but I don't know anything about his tuning ability (mechanical knowledge and tuning ability are not necessarily compatible) and what little opinion I have of AAM itself is not that good.

I have no direct experience with the shop, but I have seen a few of their 350Z products and was not terribly impressed, nor do I get a good impression of them from the 350Z community.

I almost forgot pm emdot he used to work at phillydynoworks and now at a new shop in south philly. He has a 3.5 swap 4gen and it's also supercharged. I his makes over 400fwhp, alot of people have seen the car in person.

I would also contact accordingtou, abci30, Jeve, 93altima all located in philly and ask around on the nyc forums can't remember all their screenames and don't forget to do your research. I of these people have installed, swapped, owned a 3.5swapped/supercharged/turbocharged maxima at some point.

Thanks! Just sent emdot a PM. If he has a dyno, and experience that may be who I need. Will send a message to the others if that does not pan out (I don't want to mass-mail them all, and be annoying)
