i know some people *cough*brian*cough* that have used the cheapest crap and gotten away with it.

ebay knock-offs are like kia/hyundai. somehow, the quality is improving.

Tial. I have been running it for a few years with no issues.

IMO a wastegate is the last place you want to go cheap, its the last thing protecting your motor.

Also a side note. run a SS line for your wastegate. Rubber lines can get torn, expand, or melt, and can leak which will cause an over boost. SS lines can be had for about $30 and is a great additional safety feature

NOT TO THREAD JACK BUT.

I was thinking about using a wastegate on the charge pipe on an SC install. To be used in conjunction witht eh Emanage Ultimate as an EBC.

This wategate wont be mounted to a turbo so the heat exposure should be minimal. I was thinking about one of those tial knock off ones. And if it fails... any experience with these knock off?

This. I've had good luck with the older turbonetics stuff, but the TIAL is widely regarded as the best and it works.

Great suggestion on the wastegate line, too many people overlook a simple part like that, but it can lead to major problems.
