Emanage Ultimate Timing At Idle 5 Degrees?!

Hey Guys,

I'm having issues with my Maxima and think its timing related. At idle the car shows 5 degrees of timing using the Emanage data logger. I can add about 10-12 degrees to get 15 degrees of timing at idle. Shouldn't the car be stock at 15 degrees while idling? I'm thinking there is something wrong here.

Is there a way to reset the base timing?

Thanks

Do you have a OBD scanner/reader or a consult tool? I would confirm with those first.

Whats the timing when you are revving? in the 30s-50s?

Depending where I rev. If it's a light rev then yes its around that area. I can confirm with a scanner tomorrow, if it has the capability.

What does your timing look like during a WOT pull or cruising down the highway at a constant load?

The timing during a wot pull is correct. Goes from 15-17 degrees to 25-26 degrees at redline.

In that case I would assume the timing at idle is also correct. My timing at idle is 17 degrees on my 5.5 gen.

I wouldn't worry about it too much though.

Yah, not worried. Either way I added more timing at idle . It's now at 14-15 degrees. I'll try to get a proper scanner to see what my base timing is either way.
