Tial 50mm opening at 18psi

Does anyone have experience with the 50mm Tial?

At WOT, as RPMs are going up towards 6k the BOV starts to open. I have read that Tials' are pretty rare to leak like that, so can it be that my vac/boost line going to it may be leaking (not tight enough, or another device leaking since its a shared line).

Never had an issue with mine. Swap the spring for a stiffer one. Also do not put it on a shared T, run its own seperate hose for it.

Any idea what kind of spring is in there? But rarely do Tial's leak like that.

yup, sounds like it just needs a stiffer spring, mine also never gave me issues.

I have it and it opens at 2000 rpms, so as everyone else has said, maybe you need a stiffer spring or need to re-route the vac line that you have run to it. Mine is loud as hell and opens almost too early IMO. Its kinda annoying during highway driving.

Yeah it opens VERY easily, actually in parking lots you can hear a little whistle when ever i let off the gas (even if i was giving it 1% throttle), i used to think its was the brakes but its the BOV. I have no clue what spring I have in there.

Ill have to take it out and find out what spring is in there. As for the vac line, its going to be hard to find another source. I have all of them taken up. Ill check and make sure there's no leaks on that line (I am sharing that one with a Hobbs pressure switch).

could always tap your intake and add another vac fitting

I might not do anything to it for now (other than doing a basic hose check), once I put in the MREVII ill find a source only for the BOV.

This is the best option since its always a good idea to have a "true" vacuum source. Or you can always get a vacuum box.
