I came home from work, n said F it, lets try. Went to the car which I have not started for two weeks (remember the battery was also low when i last attempted). I loaded the map, cranked it, it turned very slowly almost with no juice and suddenly BAMMMM, started like a champ!!! lol. I am going to do it again tomorrow n see if it starts the same. This means for the last 4+ years, i have not been giving it enough fuel at start up! i always took away fuel lol.

It turns out, there is a big spike that goes to 100% duty cycle (coming from the ECU), which is what makes it start (your log also has this spike). Thanks alot man!!!
Glad you got her going... Took me a year to get the damn kinks out of my system lol. My car fires up nicely as well. I get the odd hiccup but it doesn't leave me at the gas station cranking cranking cranking then pow like a gun shot anymore. lol was cool though

Again glad it worked and hope its a repeater!

So my plan is, gut the hell out of the car, boost it to hell, spray it. I will be aiming for Jime's times but this is future plans. For now I just gotta get it started. (probably when weather warms up)
I'm in the same place with my DW555 injectors and 2.87" pulley. Need to replace the NEO with 'something'. Resisting the EU, may go with a AEM f/ic by spring. Dyno'ed at 345 whp as is, but hope to get more with a better tune. I'll be at Capitol Raceway in the spring, gutted and shooting for low 12's!!

WOW, Ive also always had a start up problem using the EU too, its even worse now that I have the tune setup with duration for the extended rev limiter.
So what did set your maf output voltage to exactly and what are your injectors set at? Do you think Id be able to correct mine even though its set in duration?

maf v going to ecu was around 1.40ish, dutycycle 40% plus, I'll see what duration was at tomorrow.

Hey streetz maybe you can answer this, when OC says hotwire tune does he mean he is using the Airflow Adjustment Map instead of the I/J Adjustment Map?

Also, I thought we didn't have to touch any closed loop values so why is it you guys are having starting issues?

I'm in the process of turboing my car and I have an EU but I'm what you guys would call a newb

Any help is appreciated!

Yeah he means Airflow adjustment map.

When you are cranking the closed loop is not in play, neither are o2's, the ecu uses a Start up map. Which means you can adjust it.
