open dumps or not

Looking for suggestions and opinions? I had open dump on my maxima at 10psi in the engine bay area and it got old real fast as the car was my dd, like I couldn't even pass someone on the hwy without them opening.

Now with my G I am going to run even less boost around 6-8 which mean they will open more often. I do plan to use a mbc to keep the wg shut till max psi is reached but still. So I was thinking if I were to extend the dump tubes to say the middle of the car would this help or should I just stop being lazy and route them back into the exhaust

I have an open dump set-up right now. I enjoy it however it is loud on a daily basis. This is with 7psi and boost hits early (3k rpm)

Really? Mine only opened if I really got into it. I could drive the car to Texas and back without cracking wastegate at all. Your car probably spooled way better than mine though lol

I could do the same but my car would start spooling around 2500-2800 rpms and hit full boost by 3500-4k depending on what gear I was in and how much I has in the throttle

holy crap that's laggy for a bb turbo, I could hit full boost at part throttle in 3rd and 4th

thanks guys I'm going to just route it back into the downpipes if space allows seeing how this car is a auto the dumps will be open even more cause once in boost the car will stay in boost till I let off the gas.

Plus all I want to hear is turbo, bov and that nice G35 exhaust note

Yeah....to me that ISH dont feel laggy at all...lol. I actually like it like that.....I dont want that thing to be in boost during my normal DD. Its very controlable. The thing is so big that its not even breaking a sweat at 8psi.....

open dumps sound like **** on the VQ. face it, the VQ does not have a good sound when the exhaust is open, raspy as hell and V6 firing order is not nice either. recirculate that sht.

spooling turbos sound way better than some raspy *** bs VQ open exhaust does.
