need input on turbo project

i been thinking about turboing my 1997 max. it has a stock motor in it. wat i plan on doing is to start off with about 5psi. just alittle guy for now. i plan on going higher in the next year or so. i plan on swapping the motor to either a 3.5 or another 3.0 but with lower miles. but wat i need on THE IMPUT IS WHAT DO I NEED TO TURBO IT. i mean other then the turbo and the intercooler and run all the piping. i have been reading amillion and 1 fourms on turboing but they all have diff thing so im lost.
-were should i replac the batter to(heard of the trunk, best oppions on how to run there.)
-what size turbo( i seen a t3/t4 turbos?)
-what gauges should i put(fuel pressure{and were to tap for that}, oil pressure, oil temp, boost gauge, an so on what 3. or more i plan on puttin a --pillar pods. and i could mount some one dash.)
-and so on

i no i gotta run oil lines witch i kinda dont no were i would run them from. i no i would return it into the oil pan but im unsure from were to get the oil from to the turbo. and also were would i put the oil cooler lines to best cool then engine oil alone with the turbo oil at the same time.

if anyone could input on the things i need it will help. im going to get the stuff now so i dont spend all money at one shot i can do it over time so summer time(its been cold as hell here) i can do it all.

OH AND I PLAN ON DOING A FRONT MOUNT TURBO i been reading and seen people put the turbos back by the muffler and i aint really feelin it.

im new to this site and new to turbos
thanks guys

1) Read all the stickies at the top of this forum. This will help you understand what you need to get and why.

2) Google some questions and look for images to see turbo setups, most of them have the same components regardless of the vehicle.

3) Come back for the rest of the info after you have gained ALL the basic knowledge.

don't get anything below a 57 trim, t3 .70 or t4 .58 exhaust housing, I would go with a 3.0 over a 3.5 stock or stock boosted, get a boost, a/f and oil temp gauge "trans temp if auto", tap either the upper or lower pan for the return, tap the oil filter or oil sender for the feed. Without meth 370's will not be big enough for 10psi, last like stated before read the turbo built threads on this forums and almost all your questions will be answered

The only things we need to tell you then is add an oil filter sandwich plate, you can add the oil cooler lines off that and the oil supply line for the turbo. The easiest oil drain but not the most effective is to tap into the lower oil pan.

Another oil feed route would be to tee off the oil pressure sensor. An more effective oil drain would be to tap the upper oil pan. These subjects and threads are available when you use the advanced search and select this forum.

Everything else you can google.
"Turbo timer, yes or no?"
"How to read a compressor map"
"Fuel Injector calculator"
"Turbo Calculator" (there is a decent one at the Squirrel Performance website)
