Advice/Help on adding forced induction
I currently own a 95 maxima, AT, with quite a few performance mods on it. I was thinking about adding some sort of FI to it, but do not know where to begin. The previous owner had said that it could not hold a turbo because it did not have the correct compression ratio? Is this correct? if so, are there any other options? Any help/advice would be appreciated. Thank you and have a great day!

Maybe the person was saying that the engine has low compression in the cylinders thats probably why you shouldn't turbo it or maybe the person thought that the compression ratio (10:1) was high to boost the car but either way you should do a compression test in the cylinders to see the compression numbers then report back and if you don't know how to do a compression test you can go to youtube.com or ask here

Here's basically what you need to ask yourself to determine whether or not you want to do this...
Is this your only car? Can you have the downtime to install all of the parts? Is the cost of all the parts going to be too much to do properly? Do you have the knowledge to do the install etc.? Do you have other supporting mods which would be recomended (brakes, suspension, exhaust, proper fuel supply etc.)I see you have an auto, may want to look into getting that upgraded as I blew my 95 auto about 10 years ago with a 50 shot of nitrous.
I've had three 4th gen maxima's over last 15 years and have gone through significant learning experiences with this car. Not saying you can't do it (because it can be done, as I have a supercharged 99 with lots of upgrades) but if I could go back I would have pocketed the $$ and called it a day simply because I could have used that money towards a higher performance car today.
