What to do about idle air control valve.
So I have a 1996 maxima that I put together some time ago (2008) it has a 2008 engine in it (3.5l) with the Pathfinder 3.5l throttle body years ago when I swapped the engine I got a adapter plate from a member here for the stock 3.0l iacv valve I relocated it in the engine bay and it worked ok.. but now I am changing everything and moving the turbo up I want to have less hoses and what not under the hood what is everyone doing these days with the stock iacv from a 4th gen? Can I use the stock 3.5l Pathfinder iacv that hangs on the bottom of the throttle body? Any help would be great!

Hi there,
yes, you can use the stock pathfinder IACV, I’m currently using that in my 97 with a 3.5 swap. You’ll have find the pigtail to wire that into your stock harness so it will plug in. I’m also using the stock TPS. It’s all plug and play.
or
you can hack your stock iacv harness plug so it will plug into the pathfinder iacv. Smellyfart has a video on YouTube how to do this. But honestly you’re better off finding the harness plug and wiring that in.
