Tires, 7 inch wheels, Nankangs?

I've read the maxfaq's and lots of threads about the best tire size but most of these apply to 17 or 18 x 7.5. I have 7 inch wheels only so not quite sure how wide to go with the tires. I do know that I absolutely do NOT want the tires to bulge out beyond the front of the wheels like you see on a lot of mustangs, etc. Nice and flush. Is 235/45/17 still the best way to go or should I goto like 215/50/17?

Also, has anyone heard of Nankang tires? I've seen them around a bit but never heard anything about them. Their website is pretty pathetic looking which is a bad sign in my opinion. If you can't afford even a good website what makes you think you can make decent tires. Anyways, the tires are the right price so that's why I'm interested. Anyone have any opinions or actually used the tires?

Thanks

i talked to this guy named duke on www.speedandstyle.com, they offer hella nice wheels/tries package... i believe $649 being the cheapest with H-rated nankangs 225/45/17. he got me a hook up the new Rvs 5 17X7 with kumho ecsta supra 712 ZR + mounting, balancing, chrome lugs all for only $800... this is another great deal i got =)

Right on. I may get Kumho's if I don't find out anything about Nantangs.

But has anyone actually used the tires or have anything to say about their quality?

Also, anyone know if 235/45/17 on 17x7 (not 7.5) inch wheels will cause the tires to bulge out too much? Anyone have pics of this combo?

235/45R17 tires w/7 in or 7.5 in wide rims will not bulge out, you'll be fine...

i'm late. 225/45-17 on my friend's camry. they grip really well, but i haven't had all that much experience w/his car @ grip limit. They are not as good as the nittos he used to have, but darn close. Good price too. Talk to MrNismo for the hookup.
