Best Rims under 3 Grand?
What do you guys think are the best rims (w/tires)for under $3,000 a set are? I'm looking for a set but I keep hearing that certain rims aren't very good. Like I've heard on several occasions that Konig and ADR are horrible. So what do you guys think?

Hey AE SEoulchild!
Nice car! Looks like mine! Hehe. Been down this road. Like gunmetal?
Check out the Tenzo Racing Mean-6. Simple looking, but again would compliment the Sterling Mist.
or check out the Motegi Racing DP5 in gunmetal or hyper black.
That's just my opinion, although those Volks looks pretty sharp!

These are what I put on my car. I get compliments on them quite often.

I agree on the MM Evo5's...they look great, especially on our cars, but too common on the .org at least...I think 19's are the way to go, if you're not all into racing every weekend. Just watch the widths of the rims. Don't go with skinny 7.5" width rims like RH Evo, Motegi, etc...I'd go with at least 8" width, since you are not driving a Honda.
I recommend shopping around at many options in wheels, and narrowing down what you're looking for. Also, especially if you settle on 19's, pick the tires you want, and factor that into your budget, since that can range from $500-$1500!
For 19's, Axis Se7en Mod looks nice More pics on my homepage...

lightweight+strength=forged or high price...volk racing (le37k, le37t are black w/ polished lip) , ssr, bbs, etc.
usually around $2200 for 18's. without tires.
lightweight cast wheels can bend easily depending on where you drive
but are 1/2 the price of forged wheels. 1/2 price for 1/2 strength.
kosei and rota make good lightweight wheels.
either usually are around 16lbs, if weight is an issue. If weight or strength is not an issue, price continues to decrease.

Take note of this. The one thing that I found to be true in buying wheels is when you buy a cheap wheel you typically long for a better brand and end up buying something different down the road. A ton of my friends including myself have made this mistake cost less to get it right the first time and the value of the more expensive wheels usually doesn't decrease by as much as cheap brand wheels. Example buy a set of Volks for 1800 or so and sell them for 1500 or so cheap wheels like Konig buy at 1200 sell at 500.
