Yokohama AVS dB - anyone used these?

Are they any good? I need something that will take a long time to wear down, because I dont have alot of money to be spending on new tires all the time. Also, how are they in the rain?

Thanks

I had some, I liked them. They are very quite (hence db) and good in the rain. They also perform quite well. They last fairly long, but not as long as a cheap tire might, but for their performance, if you drive easily on them, they should hold up for a while.

I had them (235/45/17) and rating 1-10 (10 being perfect), I'd give:

Noise level 9
Cornering 7
Treadwear 4
Hydroplanning 4
Snow 3

I live in Northeast, the db is excellent on highways and very quiet They'll probably one of the quietest set of tires available today.
Watch for puddles of water in highway speed, the db's are slightly above average in resisting hydroplanning. As for treadwear, they were done around 20K miles... which was disappointing.

Not sure where you live, but if you get snow in winter.. don't expect the db's to grip beyond 2" snowfall.

Cost me $140/piece.

My biggest concern is treadwear. I have Pirelli P4000 touring at 215/60/15 on the car right now, running the stock sawblades, and they were done in 8000 miles. Now THAT is disappointing. Yeah, I did my share of squealing and burning out, but they still shouldnt be done that quick. I live in Az, so there is no snow, and barely any rainfall, so Im good with those. Thanks for the info guys (and girl)
